The "Tailor's Tips" Video Series by Vitale Barberis Canonico

Today we are happy to share with you the 12 episodes of the "Tailor's Tips" series – a short video series initiated by the prolific Francesco Barberis Canonico, produced by Vitale Barberis Canonico and directed by our good friend Gianluca Migliarotti.

Gianluca is the talented director behind the now famous "O'Mast" movie, and more recently "E poi c'è Napoli" (And Then, There is Naples), a movie that pays homage to the Neapolitan spirit. I had the luck to feature in the latter; quite an honor, considering the movie premiered at last summer’s Pitti Uomo.

Tailor's Tips is a short video series – anticipate roughly three minutes per video – which explains the step-by-step process needed to make a bespoke suit. The video is presented by Master Tailor Giovanni Barberis Organista, personal tailor to the Barberis Canonico family for more than half a century and direct descendent of one of Italy's oldest tailoring families (since 1875 !).

A splendid initiative by VBC to promote the tailoring arts and a vibrant homage to the artisans who work discreetly far from the spotlight of the Haute Couture world, to craft (with love and passion) some of the world's most sophisticated men's clothing.

A must-see for those who wish to delve deep into the incredibly rich and complex work of a Master Tailor. The 12 episodes are of course in Italian, but English subtitles may be activated.
