The so-called military style has always inspired designers and masculine bespoke houses. The current times are no exception, with a –rather fortunate- return of uniform-inspired garments, essentially very structured, with many buttons and pronounced shoulder padding and epaulets.
Personally, I have always liked this type of clothing, which I prefer to wear casually, as it is understood that they are not very well adapted to business or formal settings.Let us take a look at some interpretations of military aesthetics in early 2012, with three beautiful and distinct pieces.
Balmain wool military double-breasted coat with wide collar, gold buttons, epaulets and half belt (€3,580)
Wool reefer jacket by Burberry London (€1,295)
4 pocket wool and silk blend desert inspired jacket with fur collar. (Alexander McQueen, €1,319)
